According to Cointelegraph: Charlotte Fang, also known as Krishna Okhandiar, the founder of decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) Remilia and the Milady Maker NFT collection, has claimed a hacking incident following the suspicious transfer of significant amounts of Ether and nonfungible tokens (NFTs). Blockchain records reveal that the recipient wallet has liquidated numerous NFTs associated with Milady, including staked NFTx, and transferred around $1 million worth of Ether to another address. Currently, the particular wallet retains nearly $1 million in Ether and other tokens. Blockchain security firm, PeckShield, linked a previous transaction from the Remilia treasury wallet to the alleged draining wallet. These developments follow a September 2023 incident where Fang reported that a developer in the Milady ecosystem managed to redirect approximately $1 million in generated fees from the Remilia Corporation. Launched in 2021, the Milady NFT collection gained fame when Elon Musk endorsed it in May 2023, causing a surge in the NFT floor price. However, as the crypto industry expands, concerns around security breaches have become more prominent. According to a report by Immunefi, a total of $1.8 billion was lost to crypto hacks and scams in 2023, further emphasizing the importance of robust security measures in the crypto and DeFi sectors.
