According to Foresight News, blockchain payment company Zone has announced the completion of an $8.5 million seed funding round led by Flourish Ventures and TLcom Capital, with participation from Digital Money Group, VKAV (Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures), and Alter Global. The new funds will enable Zone to further expand its network coverage in Africa, connecting more banks and financial services companies.
Zone is a decentralized payment network in Africa, and its Layer1 blockchain network digitizes fiat payments, allowing participating institutions to directly execute payment transactions without intermediaries while fully automating settlement and reconciliation processes.
