According to Foresight News, Ethereum's smart contract development language, Solidity, has released Solidity v0.8.25. This update is relatively small in scale, mainly focusing on the Dencun upgrade that occurred yesterday. The default EVM version in the compiler is now 'cancun'. Solidity v0.8.25 also aims to save gas usage for many contracts by better utilizing the MCOPY opcode, although the expected reduction is very small. Additionally, the update fixes an issue that could potentially cause bytecode to be larger than required.
