According to Blockworks, Space and Time (SxT), a decentralized data warehouse utilizing artificial intelligence for data model training, will launch its network on a zkSync hyperchain. Blockchain networks often have limited interoperability due to operating in silos. zkSync hyperchains provide a solution with an open-sourced framework designed for zk rollups and layer-3 networks, enabling interconnected ecosystems through decentralized sequences for more efficient transaction processing. Hyperchains also incorporate hyperbridges, facilitating seamless asset and data transfers across different blockchains, streamlining transactions, reducing fees, and fostering a more scalable blockchain ecosystem. SxT is used to aggregate and analyze blockchain data, which can then be sent back to smart contracts. The data platform will deploy as a zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) verifiable compute layer (VCL), ensuring accurate, verifiable, and tamper-proof information is funneled through to smart contracts and enterprises. Vassilis Tziokas, head of enterprise business development at Matter Labs, the infrastructure team behind zkSync, stated that SxT will introduce novel ideas to zkSync, including a decentralized data warehouse and the Proof of SQL protocol. This combination will enable zero-knowledge verification queries to ensure raw data and query results cannot be manipulated. As part of the launch, new features will be introduced, including providing zkSync data from both zkSyncEra and hyperchains to develop on the platform free of charge. Developers will only be liable for the compute used to execute queries, without needing to pay for storing and indexing data. Scott Dykstra, co-founder and chief technology officer of SxT, expressed their commitment to zk and the vision of trustless layer-2s, with zkSync offering fast and low-cost zk-proven transactions.
